The 2018/19 Race 4 Eight 8 tour kicked off in Atlanta, as Lance Wachholz and E4 design hosted its third Race 4 Eight stop and the 49thRace 4 Eight stop since the first stop in 2011 at the Plummer Bash in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Killian Carroll has won 9 of the last 12 R48 events the R48 Men’s Pro, making Carroll the dominant R48 #1, while Catriona Casey will enter the 2018/19 Women’s Race 4 Eight season as the #1 women’s pro, having won two titles last season and 15 of 17 overall WR48 titles since the inception of the WR48 in 2013. David Fink enters the 2018/19 SR48 as the #1 senior pro, having won two of three SR48 titles during his SR48 rookie season.

Through 49 events on the Race 4 Eight tour from 2011-2018, the Race 4 Eight has produced sensational tournaments, memorable matches, dominant champions and inspiring stories, all broadcast live on and the WatchESPN App. Read below for fun facts and trends from the first seven+ years on the most exciting indoor pro handball tour in the sport.

  1. In 49 Men’s Race 4 Eight Pro events, there have been nine different champions and 15 different finalists. Of the 15 different finalists, nine have been from the U.S., five from Ireland, and one from Mexico
