I spoke with a friend who's manufactures molded rubber products and talked about the Red Ace.I wasn't surprised to hear him brag about quality of rubber, the new process developments and options for gas inserted.like F1 cars use to keep the tire pressure consistent regardless of air temp.
Bottom line is he thinks our USHA guys are guilty of good business???
How better to make money than to create a ball that lasts 1/2 the time and twice the price!
Hopefully the future is a ball that can play a few games and a few sponsors with balls.lol
My problem with the balls is that I think 75% of them are less than ideal. I would rather have a good consistent ball that only last one match rather than a crappy ball that last longer. I am willing to twice as much for a quality product. I have a ton of balls sitting in a box than have only been used for one game or none and still look pristine. They just don't play well (even though they pass the USHA bounce test).
I usually use more than one new ball per round. After about the third new ball disappears, I start losing older ones.
