Thanks to Dave Vincent, Vern Roberts, Fred Lewis and a host of others for allowing us to host this event in Atlanta.
We hope to see a great turnout for this event and expect great handball and food throughout the weekend.
Thanks also to Rob Pearse for the generous donation to kick off our fundraising.

This is a great event. Now that Pat and Varsity Rob have kissed and made up, the event is going to be even better.
This is the only Race Stop on the east coast, so I expect to see:
Mike Jerk Bus Tyree Jurel Churches Nelson Dessie Greegan Buzzsaw (Seattle WAC) TSP The Ruse Nick Mattioni

Which airport should I fly into? I don't see this info on r2sports. Also Sal Duenas wants to know if there will be a big ball event. __________________ Alligators are neat they swim around |

On Roswell road? Is it open play, or are they scheduled matches. Are there any open players that play there? __________________ WimbleDotte. The handball player factory. |

Pat,
I was mentioning just the east coast players, but I am expecting my teammate and spiritual WAC's leader John Bike to be playing. I also expect to see the rest of the AARP crowd on your list at the event.

No. Old white people are not any good. Only pseudo-black white people like Eric Hillgren are of any value in sports. __________________ Alligators are neat they swim around |

Quick Question: I am looking at coming in from KC for a little vacation and to play some handball. Do i have to be a USHA member to play in this tourney? I know it is stated on entry that this is required. How strictly is this enforced?

Good to know Pat. I dont like that requirement at all. I dont like that idea of having to be a member of an organization i dont believe in to participate in an "open" handball tourney. While i appreciate Dave Vincent offering to buy me a membership, the reason why i do not have one is NOT money related at all. it is a personal decision that i have made (as well as many others here in kansas city) because i dont just really like them for a multiple of reasons. I do financially support all of our many local tournements as well as WPH(membership, handballs). I do realize that the USHA sanctioned events have the right to refuse to allow me to play because i am not a member which is fine. Thanks for the response Pat. I always like to take one out of town handball trip a year and was hoping to make it to atlanta this year(i still might, we will see) but i am not a big fan of having to be a member of ANY organization to play in a handball tourney. Good luck. |

AO- You do not have to be a member of the USHA to play in the WPH qualifier. If there is an open bracket or if you are entering a master event, then those would require a USHA membership.
The Qualifier/pro stop is ran solely by the WPH. We do encourage all players joining the USHA, but it will not be forced. __________________ http://www.thehandballstore.com

The money is in the Race 4 Eight. Get in the qualifier, beat others, win money.
Race 4 Eight Finals will be Saturday night. Win that and fly home Sunday am no problems.
Finals for all other events will be Sunday.
If you had a flight at noonish, it wouldn't be a problem to schedule an 8 am match and get you to the airport for a flight
Charly Shanks' massage friend from Austin TX is staying at the host hotel, wink, wink
Sun Suites, 3720 Steve Reynolds Blvd., Duluth, GA. 30096 (770) 931-3320. Mention USHA for special rate $46/single, $57/double. |
